Viral marketing pranks are all the rage when it comes to promoting a new horror movie. We’ve seen them used for movies like Curse of Chucky, Carrie, The Last Exorcism 2, and The Last Exorcism.
The latest prank certainly takes things to the next level. It’s for the new found footage horror flick Devil’s Due, and involves a very creepy, very realistic animatronic baby wreaking havoc on New Yorkers. When passersby do the human thing and check on a seemingly abandoned baby carriage with the sound of a crying baby coming from it, they are rewarded with the emergence of an infant from Hell, which can do a whole lot more than just pop up from the carriage.

Devil’s Due is set to be released this Friday. It’s directed by Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett, who are members of the filmmaking group Radio Silence, best known for making the segment titled “10/31/98” in the found footage horror anthology V/H/S.
