Fantastic Four fans are another step closer to seeing Mr. Fantastic, the Invisible Woman, the Human Torch, and The Thing grace the big screen once more, as Fox is getting ready to cast the film by testing actors for the roles later this month. Another sign of good news is that screenwriter Simon Kinberg has turned in the script for the Fantastic Four reboot.
Miles Teller, Michael B. Jordan, Kit Harrington, Kate Mara, and Saoirse Ronan, all continue to be major contenders for the roles that are up for grabs. Teller has reportedly been offered to play Mr. Fantastic, with Jordan attached to play as Johnny Storm aka the Human Torch. Mara and Ronan would be testing for Sue Storm. Hit the jump to see who else is being tested.
When asked if he would be playing Mr. Fantastic, Teller confirmed “Yeah that should be happening in the next few weeks,” in an interview with Variety. However the trade goes on to say that me must have misunderstood the question as they have confirmed that Game of Thrones co-stars Harrington and Richard Madden would also be testing for the same role.
The trade also says that while Jordan is attached to play the Human Torch, he would have to test with Mara and Ronan for chemistry. Jordan has been attached to this role for quite some time. It should be noted that Teller and Jordan have starring roles in the upcoming romantic comedy That Awkward Moment.
Josh Trank is still on board to direct, with Matthew Vaughn acting as producer.
The Fantastic Four reboot continues to maintain it’s June 19, 2015 release.
