‘The King’s Man’ Trailer: All The King’s Men Put A Spy Agency Together Again

The first two Kingsman films introduced the film world to a higher class of spying. Based on the Mark Millar comics of the same name, the franchise is a fun take on the genre that had grown too dark and gritty in recent years. But all agencies have a beginning, and that is no different with the Kingsman. So before all the tailored clothes, fashionable high tech gadgetry, and the manners, there was The King’s Man. This prequel is set nearly a century before the events of Kingsman: The Secret Service and Kingsman: The Golden Circle, and it stars Ralph Fiennes as a World War I soldier who helps launch the new agency. Check out the trailer here below.

‘The Flash’: Sam Raimi, Marc Webb Pass On Directing; Billy Crudup Exits

Well, that was fast. We just learned that Sam Raimi was on a shortlist of potential directors to helm The Flash. Robert Zemeckis and Matthew Vaughn are also among the top names.
But just after that list was reported, word is that Raimi has taken himself out of the running. And that’s just the beginning. Another potential director we didn’t know about, Marc Webb, is also passing. It appears that Barry Allen will be without a father in the standalone film as well, as Billy Crudup has also dropped out. More on these stories below.

Robert Zemeckis, Matthew Vaughn, Sam Raimi In The Running To Direct ‘The Flash’

Warner Bros. isn’t giving up on the cinematic version of The Flash. Though the Scarlett Speedster has only made two cameo appearances, with his first major one coming in Justice League, he has yet to appear in his own standalone film. After the studio had a falling out with Seth Grahame-Smith and Rick Famuyiwa over creative differences, the studio went back to the drawing board, canned ditched Phil Lord and Chris Miller’s draft, and opted to use a script written by Joby Harold (King Arthur: Legend of the Sword).
Now WB is ready to find a director. It’s being reported that Robert Zemeckis (Back to the Future, Who Framed Roger Rabbit), who had been previously rumored, is still in the running, while the studio has also had meetings with Matthew Vaughn (X-Men: First Class, Kingsman) and Sam Raimi (Evil Dead and Spider-Man trilogies). Last week we saw a high-speed first look tease for the sequel to Kingsman: The Secret Service, titled Kingsman: The Golden Circle. Though no information was given on when we might see a real trailer, it was assumed that one was coming soon.

High-Speed ‘Kingsman: The Golden Circle’ First Look Teaser Released

20th Century Fox has released a high-speed first look teaser for Kingsman: The Golden Circle, the sequel to the surprise 2014 hit Kingsman: The Secret Service.
Like any trailer teaser the video is very short, running only 15 seconds long. Unlike most trailer teasers, however, this one presents the footage in rapid-fire, subliminal message-like flashes. There’s also no mention of when we’ll see an actual trailer, interestingly enough, which is usually the whole point of a trailer tease. Though to be fair, the video is dubbed “The Ultimate Breakdown,” and makes no promises of a trailer. Still, it’s safe to assume one is coming soon.
You can find the first Kingsman: The Golden Circle teaser below.

WB Eyeing ‘Kingsman’s Matthew Vaughn To Direct ‘Man Of Steel 2’

It was just a few years ago that director Zack Snyder declared Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice a sequel to Man Of Steel. It may very well be, depending on how you look at it. But that hasn’t stopped the studio from actively looking into developing a direct sequel to the 2013 film. Snyder seems to be heading towards a break after Justice League, leaving the director’s chair vacant. There have been some rumblings that George Miller could step into Snyder’s place, given that his Mad Max: Fury Road was a critical and commercial hit. But that never came to fruition. However, it seems that the studio has their eyes set on a new director.
According to a new report, WB is eyeing X-Men: First Class and Kingsman: The Secret Service director Matthew Vaughn to helm Man Of Steel 2.

Channing Tatum Is Joining The Cast Of ‘Kingsman: The Golden Circle’

The gleefully violent, vulgar, and witty spy spoof Kingsman: The Secret Service, based on the comic series The Secret Service created by Mark Millar and Dave Gibbons, was destined to get a sequel after grossing $414 million at the global box office last year. Luckily for us fans of the film, writer-director Matthew Vaughn (Kick-Ass, X-Men: First Class), his writing partner Jane Goldman (Stardust, Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children), and newcomer leading man Taron Egerton (Eddie the Eagle, Legend) will all be returning for the sequel, which is now going by the name Kingsman: The Golden Circle.
It now appears as if a Hollywood heavy-hitter is preparing to join the colorful, globe-trotting mayhem as 21 Jump Street and Magic Mike star Channing Tatum has signed on to play an unspecified role.

Halle Berry Could Be The CIA Boss In ‘Kingsman 2’

Last year, Matthew Vaughn confirmed that he was writing Kingsman 2. He said that the sequel would have more of an international feel with the goal being to “introduce the world to the American branch of the Kingsman.” Obviously, it was too early at that time to talk about major plot points for the follow-up film, but since it was being developed it wasn’t too early for rumors or speculation. While much of that has been kept to a minimum, a new report gives us a small hint at what spy agency the Kingsman could be working with in the sequel.
The report says Halle Berry is now being courted to play the big boss over at the CIA. More on the story below.
