What makes a person want to create a super-secret spy agency that has all the coolest gadgets and fashionable attire to go with it? Well, Matthew Vaughn‘s The King’s Man, the prequel to The Kingsman film franchise, will answer that.

SDCC 2019: ‘The Falcon and The Winter Soldier’ Carries Cap’s Legacy On To Disney Plus

Though Marvel’s televised series are said to be a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, they don’t really function as one considering how Marvel Studios and Marvel Entertainment don’t speak to each other in a way that would make it a cohesive shared universe. However, that will be different for the Marvel TV series over at Disney+, Disney’s exclusive streaming service.
While at San Diego Comic-Con, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige plus Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan took to the stage to talk about The Falcon and the Winter Soldier and mentioned a few surprises that will include the return of some characters from the Russo Brothers’ Captain America films. More on all of this, below.

‘The King’s Man’ Trailer: All The King’s Men Put A Spy Agency Together Again

The first two Kingsman films introduced the film world to a higher class of spying. Based on the Mark Millar comics of the same name, the franchise is a fun take on the genre that had grown too dark and gritty in recent years. But all agencies have a beginning, and that is no different with the Kingsman. So before all the tailored clothes, fashionable high tech gadgetry, and the manners, there was The King’s Man. This prequel is set nearly a century before the events of Kingsman: The Secret Service and Kingsman: The Golden Circle, and it stars Ralph Fiennes as a World War I soldier who helps launch the new agency. Check out the trailer here below.

Emily VanCamp and Daniel Brühl In Talks To Join Disney+ Series ‘The Falcon and The Winter Soldier’

Most of the Avengers roster has been lost because of death or retirement, but some of the heroes will live on and continue to avenge through a variety of shows that will appear exclusively on Disney’s upcoming Disney+ streaming service. The Falcon and the Winter Soldier will bring back Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan to reprise their respective titular roles. Though it’s not clear what will happen to the pair post-Avengers: Endgame, it looks like the two will run into some familiar faces.
According to new reports, Emily VanCamp and Daniel Brühl are both in talks to reprise their respective roles on the upcoming show. Additionally, Kari Skogland (The Walking Dead) has been hired to direct the series. More on this below.

Movie Review: The Cloverfield Paradox
|

The Cloverfield Paradox
Director: Julius Onah
Screenwriter: Oren Uziel and Doug Jung
Cast: Daniel Brühl, Elizabeth Debicki, Aksel Hennie, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Chris O’Dowd, John Ortiz, David Oyelowo, and Zhang Ziyi
Distributor: Netflix
Rated TV-MA | 102 Mintues
Release Date: January 4, 2018
One thing you have to appreciate about the Cloverfield franchise is that it is building its own mythology without the films’ actually knowing its a part of J.J. Abrams’ grand mystery box scheme. Cloverfield was a sci-fi romp that drew its found-footage inspiration from films like Blair Witch. 10 Cloverfield Lane was a more focused offering that was like a theatrical play set almost entirely in an underground bunker. And both are somehow loosely connected to each other without the characters of those films knowing it. However, Netflix surprised us all on Sunday night by releasing The Cloverfield Paradox, the latest installment of the Cloverfield franchise, this time set in space.
Unfortunately, the entire film is a disjointed mess that haphazardly throws in dated and familiar plot devices and twists for the sake of being “Cloverfield In Space.”

My full review below.

‘Cloverfield Paradox’ Super Bowl Spot: Netflix To Debut New Film After The Big Game

The first look at Cloverfield Paradox aired during the Super Bowl on Sunday night, and in a huge surprise announcement, Netflix will premiere the film on their streaming service tonight after the Big Game!
After being delayed multiple times, the film continues the vague and strange marketing campaign that the Cloverfield films are largely known for. Even finding out who will distribute the film was a mystery. But Netflix is no stranger to releasing big teasers on Super Bowl Sunday. They started to practice that last year with Stranger Things 2, and look how successful that turned out to be.
Now the teaser offers a tiny sneak peek into J.J. Abram’s latest mystery box, and it is just as cryptic and strange as the last two. Check out the first look at Cloverfield Paradox here below.

‘God Particle’: ‘Cloverfield’ Spinoff May Be Released By Netflix

The Cloverfield films have been known to have an unorthodox marketing campaign. From out of nowhere a trailer can appear for a film that was produced under a different title. And for the most part, this strategy has worked. It may not produce wild box office numbers like blockbuster tentpoles do, but under the production and marketing budget of the two films so far, it is enough of a hit to warrant more.
However, it appears that Paramount Pictures is having second thoughts about releasing the next Cloverfield film, which is tentatively titled God Particle. There are reports now that the film might be heading to Netflix. More on the story below.

How ‘God Particle’ Became Connected To The ‘Cloverfield’ Universe
|

Cloverfield sequels aren’t exactly sequels, but they aren’t exactly spinoffs either. So while 10 Cloverfield Lane may have a similar title, it isn’t a direct sequel, it is a spiritual sequel that shares loose connections to its predecessor. Basically, these films are a part of a larger universe. The characters just don’t know it. But it is the fact that you never see these films coming that is not only surprising but refreshing.
But to hide that 10 Cloverfield Lane was related, the film was shot as Valencia and then changed its title a few months before release. With the Cloverfield films popular again, it’s easy to see why people might be more interested in any new titles from Bad Robot and Paramount.
However, Paramount isn’t exactly being secretive about God Particle being the next chapter of the series. In fact, we are learning more about the film and how it ended up being connected. Check it out below.
