Conan O’Brien announced that he will host the 2014 MTV Movie Awards on Sunday, April 13, 2014.

The late night talk show host broke the news last night on his TBS show Conan, where he appeared holding an MTV Movie Awards Golden Popcorn statue. Sidekick Andy Richter assured the audience that there won’t be any new episodes of The Walking Dead or True Detective that night, and although Game Of Thrones will be on, he reminded everyone that HBO will repeat it several times throughout the night anyhow.

The 23rd Annual MTV Movie Awards will broadcast live on MTV from the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles, CA at 9pm ET/PT on Sunday, April 13, 2014. Award nominees will be revealed on March 6, 2014.
