Late night talk show Craig Ferguson will executive produce I F*cking Love Science for Science Channel, according to The Wrap.
The Late Late Show host made the announcement on Saturday night via a videotaped message that was played at Science Channel’s event at South By South West (SXSW) in Austin, TX.
Science Channel posted the news to Twitter soon after the SXSW announcement.
The one-hour show, which is inspired by the popular Facebook page I Fucking Love Science created by British biology student Elise Andrew, will reportedly “feature a mix of live-action, animation and re-creations that demonstrate the random manifestations of science that connects us.”
Here’s some of what Ferguson said in his message, according to The Wrap:
“If you know anything about me, you know I love science,” said Ferguson. “Science has a naughty secret “” it’s that all things are connected. And this show is going to explore the randomness of science. Think of it as a late night Google search that goes a hundred pages deep until things get weird “” and then you just keep going. And there is no better partner for this kind of smart entertainment like Science Channel and Elise.”
I F-ing Love Science will debut on Science Channel late 2014.
