Fox may have just canceledAlmost Human, but they’re hoping to score some new viewers with Gotham, their upcoming Batman prequel TV series. As expected, the series has officially been given the greenlight for a full season, and the first trailer has been released to show off how it looks.
While a young Bruce Wayne will be part of the series, still mourning the death of his parents, Batman himself will supposedly not appear. At least not right away. Instead, the show will follow a young Commissioner Gordon when he was a rookie detective with the Gotham City Police Department. Gordon is played by Ben McKenzie.
You can check out the first trailer for Gotham, which will premiere this fall, below.
I guess these guys never bothered to watch Caprica. We don’t want a Batman prequel, we want a Batman TV show. If you already know that the lead characters will have to live to fulfill these future roles, then there is never any real worry about their safety, and hence, you get a dull drama.

I don’t think it’s as simple as that. Good writing creates good drama whatever.
