Aladdin will air on several Disney networks this weekend in honor of the late Robin Williams, who voiced the Genie in the 1992 animated feature.
Disney will show the film this Saturday at 9am and 6:30pm on the Disney Channel; on Sunday at 11am, 6pm, and 7:30pm on Disney XD; and on Monday at 11am on Disney Junior.
Earlier this week, The Walt Disney Company paid tribute to the 63-year-old actor, who was found dead on Monday, by releasing a newly created image of the Genie with their condolences. Along with Aladdin, Williams was featured in several projects for the company over the years, including his first major TV role on ABC’s Mork and Mindy, Disney’s live-action film Flubber, Dead Poets Society (produced by Disney’s Touchstone Pictures), and Jack (produced by Disney’s Hollywood Pictures). He also contributed to some of the company’s theme park attractions – “The Timekeeper,” where he voiced the titular character, and “Back to Never Land,” a film attraction at Hollywood Studios.
