SPOILERS for The Walking Dead Episode 5.1 “No Sanctuary.”

Last night saw the long-awaited return of AMC’s The Walking Dead with the Season 5 premiere “No Sanctuary” and it did not disappoint! (Seriously!!!)

When we last left Rick and the gang, they were dealing with the consequences of following the trail to Terminus, where those who arrive supposedly survive, but umm, you know how it goes. In episode 5.1, we find out that Terminus was even more over the top than we could possibly imagine.

AMC has released what they’ve deemed* the “most talked about scene,” which comes towards the end of the episode and is too spoilery to mention right here. They also released two 6-minute videos — one is the “Making of” the episode that deals with a lot of the action as well as an “Inside Look” at this premiere, which centers on the group’s struggle to fight their way out of Terminus, while Carol and Tyreese search for them.

*Note – I saw AMC deemed it the most talked about scene is because while it’s a touching scene at the end and made of all feeling good, I’d say the MOST talked about scene is the one at the beginning where Rick, Daryl, Glenn, and Bob are brought tied up to the trough and there’s a crazy dude practicing his baseball swing!!!

Oh – and I want to point out that during the live Talking Dead post-show, there’s a nice and fitting nod to Star Trek for Denise Crosby, who plays Terminus Mary — she also starred on Star Trek: The Next Generation.
