We here at Geeks Of Doom sponsor a bat each Halloween and support the efforts for bat conversation. With this week being “National Save the Bats Week,” the director and stars of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice took part in a video explaining why it’s important to Save The Bats.
Watch the video here below from the Organization for Bat Conservation‘s Bat Zone, which features Batman v Superman director Zack Snyder and the film’s stars Ben Affleck and Amy Adams.
You’ll see in the video that Snyder and crew took part in making Bat Houses to help out the Bats, who do in fact need help as they are in danger of dying of White Nose Syndrome (WNS).
Bat Week takes place October 26-November 1, 2014.
You can also learn more at savebats.org. (The site is slow right now, as it’s likely being slammed with traffic from BvS fans; you can also visit the main site at batconservation.org). Bats are wonderful, incredible, beneficial creatures who contribute greatly to the environment and they are quite misunderstood. Take this opportunity to learn more about bats and also to teach the younger generations about the bats and their importance to our ecosystem and how we can help save them.
