Trick ‘r Treat director Michael Dougherty is working on a new horror-comedy holiday film for next year titled Krampus, based on the legend of the pagan figure who punishes the wicked.
Legendary Pictures has released three animated “Krampus Cards” for the holiday that give a glimpse into the world of Dougherty’s dark Yuletide horror film, which is scheduled for release for the 2015 holiday season.
Check out the animated holiday cards here below, along with the film’s official synopsis.
If you’re familiar with Trick ‘r Treat, then you’re undoubtedly aware that Dougherty knows how to tell an old school spooky story in a new way, so I have no doubt that Krampus will be a scary delight. Speaking of Trick ‘r Treat, Legendary announced in October that a sequel was in the works.
