Gotham is about to get an “heroic” dose of villainy! Former Heroes alum Milo Ventimiglia is on his way to our favorite Batman-less city as Jason Lennon aka “The Ogre,” a serial killer looking for love.

Ventimiglia will have a several-episode arc on the FOX TV series that will pit him against our local hometown hero, Jim Gordon (Ben McKenzie). Jim’s villain cup is overflowing, so what is one more. I’m wondering if he will join the Penguin/Falcone/Fish/Maroni (Robin Lord Taylor/John Doman/Jada Pinkett Smith/David Zayas) arc, or the Wayne murder arc…..or…you get where I’m going? This is such a rich universe. He may get his own arc, however, with Barbara (Erin Richards) out in the cold, wouldn’t it be great if she gets caught up with Jason Lennon and Jim has to save her? Sorry Morena Baccharin! It’s in the lore!

Although there is an “Ogre” in the DC comic world, there will be no relation to Milo’s character, a wealthy, gorgeous playboy whose dating tests equate to a little more than will-she-unlock-the-car-door-for-me? And those who do not pass the test……meet a horrible death. It is no mystery though why the women of Gotham have been failing these bloody litmus tests for ten years. I mean, as long as you have eyes.

Handsome, wealthy and seductive, the Ogre is a serial killer who has been preying on the young women of Gotham for nearly a decade, luring them into his web and confronting them with a series of “tests” as he searches for his perfect mate. When the women fail to live up to his impossible standard, Lennon disposes of them quickly and viciously. His obsessions, combined with Gordon’s determination to bring him down, send both Gordon and Lennon “” and those around them “” on a course toward tragedy.

Ventimiglia spent four seasons on NBC’s Heroes as Peter Petrelli, one of the superhumans who suddenly develop powers. Peter’s power was the ability to mimic the power of others. Some of his work include roles on Chosen, Mob City, and new series The Whispers, and voice roles in Ultimate Spiderman.
