Last night saw the Season 1 finale of AMC’s Better Call Saul, Episode 1.10 “Marco,” which tied up all the loose ends of this debut season. We saw more of Jimmy McGill’s (Bob Odenkirk) past and the type of man he was when he was “Slippin’ Jimmy” the con man; we learned more about his best friend and con partner Marco, who he goes to see again in Illinois after the devastating reveal from Episode 1.9; and we get a glimpse of the direction that Jimmy is going in for Season 2.
Now that Season 1 has come to a close, the cast and creators are taking a look at what’s to come in Season 2 with a new 4-minute video, which you can watch here below.
It’s obvious that not only Jimmy will return, but so will Mike (Jonathan Banks), who undoubtedly will forge a greater bond with his new lawyer ally in the next set of episodes. And according to the creators, we’ll get more of Chuck (Michael McKean), Kim (Rhea Seehorn), Howard Hamlin (Patrick Fabian), and Nacho (Michael Mando).
It’s going to be a long wait for more Saul, but when we get it, it’s sure to be great, as this first season was.
Better Call Saul Episode 1.10 “Marco,” the Season 1 finale, written and directed by Peter Gould, aired on AMC on Monday, April 6 at 10/9c. If you need to catch up with this first season, you can watch the episodes in full at AMC for a limited time.
The first season of Better Call Saul ran 10 episodes and starred Bob Odenkirk as Jimmy McGill (Saul Goodman from Breaking Bad); Jonathan Banks reprising his Breaking Bad role as Mike Ehrmantraut, seen here as a parking lot clerk turned henchman who will becomes Jimmy’s ally; Michael McKean as Chuck McGill, Jimmy’s brother, who’s medical and/or psychological illness has prevented him from working at his law firm; Rhea Seehorn from TV sitcom Whitney as Kim Wexler, best friend; and Patrick Fabian as Howard Hamlin, Chuck’s law firm partner and Jimmy’s long-time nemesis.
