In G.I. Joe: Snake Eyes, Agent of Cobra #3 we get more kick butt action than you could ask for! The mystery of why Snake Eyes is working for Cobra takes a back seat this issue, but that’s ok, there’s plenty of other stuff to keep us entertained and to keep the story moving. But, there is a little something missing from this issue. Want to find out what it is? Read on.

Writer Mike Costa is becoming one of the best G.I. Joe writers in history. He’s more than proved himself worthy in the past, and this book is no exception. Although he crafts a fantastic story in this issue, full of intrigue, excitement, mystery, and action, there’s not enough Snake Eyes in it for my taste. I would’ve really like if he was featured more in this issue. Now, this doesn’t ruin the issue for me at all. As I stated, there’s MORE than enough to keep me entertained this issue — the focus of this issue is something that we’ve always wanted to see, and it’s executed flawlessly.

Paolo Villanelli’s artistic ability is simply amazing. There is not one page or panel that I didn’t enjoy looking at in this issue. Each one is crafted with a lot of thought and careful planning. Besides that, they’re just an awful lot of fun. While the book has a very serious tone, the art gives it a sense of fun, but not at the cost of changing the tone of the book at all. Great stuff all around.

Like G.I. Joe? Like action? Adventure? Espionage? This book is for you! Great writing, interesting story, fantastic art, there’s really no reason not to pick this book up!
