Sometimes the underrated characters turn out to be the ones we remember the most. Maybe Jeremy Renner hasn’t had much to do in the Marvel Cinematic Universe so far as the wisecracking ace archer Hawkeye, but early reviews of the upcoming Avengers: Age of Ultron have listed Renner’s performance and the greater attention paid to his character as one of the film’s better qualities.
Just to prove how cool he and the Hawk both really are, Renner paid a recent visit to The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon to sing a lovely song about the struggles he faces being the most unappreciated Avenger of them all, set to the tune of Ed Sheeran‘s “Thinking Out Loud.”
You can watch the video here below.
Who would have guessed that this arrow-slingin’ agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. had a passion for scarves, a talent for the trombone, and used Tinder to get dates? You’ll find out all of that and more in this hilarious clip. It just makes me appreciate the character of Hawkeye and Renner’s acting talent and self-deprecating sense of humor even more.
The Avengers: Age of Ultron opens this Friday, May 1, 2015.
