Last night’s Lip Sync Battle split apart the “Push It” duo, Salt-N-Pepa! Cheryl “Salt” James performed Kelly Clarkson’s pop rock anthem, “Since You Been Gone.” And she was adorable! She really showed us another side. Take it from LL.

Then it was Sandra “Pepa” Denton‘s turn to strut on the stage with legs for miles, with Katy Perry’s “Firework.” Nice job!

Salt-N-Pepa Do Battle with Since U Been Gone vs. Firework | Lip Sync Battle

It’s Salt vs. Pepa in this weeks Lip Sync Battle! Cheryl “Salt” James starts us off with a spectacular performance of “Since U Been Gone” by Kelly Clarkson. Sandra “Pepa” Denton follows up with an incendiary rendition of “Firework” by Katy Perry.

For the props and dancers part, Salt bopped out to Run DMC’s “It’s Tricky.” SO fun! The dancers were great. Then LL and she spit out the 1st verse together out loud. Well… it is a lip sync show. i had to make the distinction.

Salt: “We patterned ourselves after Run DMC.”

Then Pepa came out and killed it! With a big afro and a sparkling jumpsuit, she rocked Gloria Gaynor’s “I Will Survive,” a disco anthem that I think all women from the 70s and 80s could lip sync without practice.

Pepa: “This is just for all the survivors out there.”

The Salt-N-Pepa battle continues with Cheryl “Salt” James bringing the house down with “It’s Tricky” by RUN-D.M.C. Sandra “Pepa” Denton closes the battle with a phenomenal performance of “I Will Survive” by Gloria Gaynor.
