Season 2 of The Strain is getting ever closer, and the anticipation is building. This apocalyptic vampire show, created by Guillermo del Toro and Chuck Hogan, is moving away from the outbreak and discovery of season 1, and moving into season 2 with the battle lines drawn. FX has been spitting out little teasers and trailers here and there, and has now provided us with a first look video.
Check it out below.
Just the creepy pic above is thrilling. Executive producer/writer Carlton Cuse explains where they were in season 1, and now where it’s headed. Corey Stoll (Dr. Ephraim Goodweather) explains a little bit (watch!) and there’s a part that shows him being really mean to his son, and pressing him against the glass of a captured vampire.
“This is what your mother is!”
Ouch! That’s definitely tough love.
I’m not sure where they found or how they built the Hannibal Lecter mask for the guinea pic vampire, but Ephraim and Nora (Mia Maestro) are using science to fight the virus.
You see vampire Kelly Goodweather (Natalie Brown) making vampire baby soup. That’s the only way I can describe it. You have to watch to figure it out. Please, send along some better descriptions if you think of some.
I’m completely curious about the “ancients,” and what they might (if at all) have to do with those “good” vampires that saved Ansel’s kids.
