More “From The Set” videos from Kurt Sutter’s, The Bastard Executioner! This period piece tells the story of an Edwardian knight (newcomer Lee Jones) who doesn’t want that life anymore, but ends up as the title character. These clips show Stephen Moyer (Miles Corbett) on why this was his perfect next gig, and Sam Spruell (Toran Richards) lets us know how you can tell this is an excellent script.
Watch the 2 videos below for those answers.
Moyer’s was obvious. Who doesn’t like playing with swords? Spruell surprised me, giving me a bona fide acting tip. That’s all I’m gonna say. You gotta watch to hear the rest.
I love these “from the set” glimpses. I really cannot wait to see what MTV called back in February, “Sons of Anarchy meets Game of Thrones” because Gemma Teller (Katey Sagal) is in it, it stars mute Otto (Sutter), it’s medieval, and stars a Jax Teller/Ned Stark-ish guy who doesn’t want the violence but gets caught up in it. The Bastard Executioner has been picked up for a 10-episode order by FX, and will air this fall.
