SYTYCD Season 12 Auditions Los Angeles 03 Header

So You Think You Can Dance is in Los Angeles last night for the third week of auditions. Dancers have to decide whether they are auditioning for Team Stage, headed by Travis Walls, or Team Street, captained by tWitch.

Check out the highlights, plus Jaja’s Season 11 audition and Travis Wall’s memorable Season 2 performance below.

The highlights:

– The 1st SYTYCD dancer was a “Hebrew” breaker. My face mirrored the judges, like, “What the hell is that?” Well, he schooled us. The music was different, but the tricks were good, especially that “first dive.” The judges gave him a standing ovation, and he impressed Cyrus and Fik-Shun, who were in the audience. This “Rock Hudson/Aladdin” lookalike really dazzled.

– The male Armenian ballet dancer had judge Paula Abdul going, “Oh my god,” over and over, and rightly so. He was so light and graceful, he floated, while not losing any of his strength and power. Paula “can’t critique perfection.” Another standing ovation!

– Of return dancer, Jaja Vankova, Jason Derulo said, You were a robot. I would pay money to see you.” A third standing ovation! Jaja’s season 11 audition is below.

– The ballroom dancer was compared to season 2 winner Benji Shwimmer.

– The two brothers were phenomenal. They seemed to spin on their heads forever.

– The Team Stage dancer with a mutilated leg, danced like an inspirational angel.

– Jessica was as cute as a button. Her style was very unique.

– Street performer Kareem lit up that stage. He was so good and it made you happy just looking at him. Said Abdul,”We were all invited to your party on that stage!”

– Brandon came back with his ticket from 2012 (he was too young). And he brought it.

Which SYTYCD dancer was your favorite!

So You Think You Can Dance airs Monday night at 8pm ET on FOX.

Here is the tally so far:
