Last month, 20th Century Fox released the second official trailer for Hitman: Agent 47, the second film based on the massively popular Hitman video game franchise. Timothy Olyphant starred as the barcoded assassin in the first film based on the game, released in 2007, but this time around will see Homeland and The Young Victoria star Rupert Friend putting on the trademark black suit with a blood-red tie.
With 47 days to go before the movie hits theaters, Fox has kicked off today their “47 Days Of Hitman: Agent 47” promotion with a new 1-minute video.
Watch the new video here below, along with some other new promo material.
SYNOPSIS:
HITMAN: AGENT 47 centers on an elite assassin who was genetically engineered from conception to be the perfect killing machine, and is known only by the last two digits on the barcode tattooed on the back of his neck. He is the culmination of decades of research – and forty-six earlier Agent clones — endowing him with unprecedented strength, speed, stamina and intelligence. His latest target is a mega-corporation that plans to unlock the secret of Agent 47’s past to create an army of killers whose powers surpass even his own. Teaming up with a young woman who may hold the secret to overcoming their powerful and clandestine enemies, 47 confronts stunning revelations about his own origins and squares off in an epic battle with his deadliest foe.
Starring Rupert Friend, Hannah Ware, Zachary Quinto, Ciarán Hinds, and Thomas Kretschmann, the Aleksander Bach-directed Hitman: Agent 47 hits theaters on August 21, 2015. You can also watch the first official trailer that was released back in February if you missed it.
