AMC brought their horror-drama NOS4A2 this past weekend to San Diego Comic-Con, where they announced that they would be giving the series a Season 2.
The cable network is currently running the debut season, which is based on the book of the same name by Joe Hill, who serves as an executive producer on the TV series. Hill tweeted out the news.
Per THR, Season 2 will consist of 10 episodes (the same as Season 1) and production is scheduled to begin in the Fall for a 2020 premiere on AMC.
NOS4A2, pronounced like Nosferatu, stars Ashleigh Cummings as Vic McQueen, a teenaged aspiring artist in Haverhill, Massachusetts who has the power to find lost things. After children begin to go missing, Vic tries to use her supernatural ability to find Charlie Manx, a vampire-like figure who survives by feeding on the souls of the children he kidnaps. Zachary Quinto stars as the powerful Manx, who brings the stolen children to Christmasland, a distorted Christmas village created from his own imagination where every day is Christmas Day. Olafur Darri Olafsson, Virginia Kull, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, and Jahkara Smith also star.
The series was created by Jami O’Brien, who serves as showrunner. No word yet on which cast members will officially be returning for the second season.
