Marvel Studios

Marvel Studios doesn’t mess around when it comes to any announcements on a public stage like San Diego Comic-Con. After telling the world about a slew of upcoming titles including The Eternals, Black Widow, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, Thor: Love and Thunder, Blade, and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige took to the stage the say that there were other titles in the works as well, they just didn’t have enough time to get to them.

And just as a nice tease, Feige revealed that these titles include Fantastic Four, Black Panther 2, Captain Marvel 2, and a film that could, possibly, feature some mutants. Check out more on all of these titles below.

Now, this is just pure speculation, but I am guessing Feige and company want to make some of these announcements at the D23 Expo. It’s just a wild guess. Why waste it all in one get-go. Here’s what THR’s Borys Kit had to say:

And Ryan Penagos, Vice President & Creative Executive of Marvel New Media, tweeted:

We’ve known that Black Panther 2 is in the works since it was announced, especially since Ryan Coogler is returning to the director’s chair. And the fact that there will be another Captain Marvel 2 is no surprise. Let’s just hope it’s met with less resistance from the angry men.

As for Fantastic Four and the possible mutants, we kind of figured that they wouldn’t fit into the picture since Disney has just acquired Fox. Additionally, these titles were planned out well in advance, so it’s not like Disney and Marvel had “just in case we acquire Fantastic Four and X-Men” scripts lying around.

Again, this is pure speculation, but I’d like to think that we could hear about either of those after the release of Thor: Love and Thunder. Feige has stated he wanted to take some time before even thinking about getting into an X-Men film. Of course, that doesn’t mean Fantastic Four has to share the same fate.

We’ll just have to keep you posted in as soon as more developments come in.
