The Game Of Thrones panel at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con just wrapped, and while there was obviously no new footage from the HBO series shown — as 10-episode Season 5 concluded last month — fans in Hall H did get a treat — a 2-minute audition reel!
Watch the audition reel here below.
In the video, you’ll see Gwendoline Christie (Brienne of Tarth), Natalie Dormer (Margaery Tyrell), Pedro Pascal (Oberyn Martell “The Red Viper”), Liam Cunningham (Ser Davos Seaworth), and more trying out for their respective roles on GoT.
Moderated by NBC late night talk show host Seth Meyers, the Game Of Thrones panel today in Hall H featured stars Sophie Turner, Maisie Williams, Natalie Dormer, Conleth Hill, Hannah Murray, Carice van Houten, Liam Cunningham, Alfie Allen, and John Bradley, along with executive producer Carolyn Strauss and director David Nutter.
Notably absent from the panel? JON SNOW!
That’s right, no Kit Harington this year. As we all know by now, his character was “killed off” in the Season 5 finale last month, although no one believes it to be true. It can’t be. IT JUST CAN’T BE!
Even the President of the United States doesn’t believe it. Finale director David Nutter recently told EW that President Obama asked him about Jon Snow’s death.
“Three weeks ago, I was the in the company of the President of the United States,” David Nutter, who directed the finale, told EW. “He turned to me, put his hand on my shoulder, and said, “˜You didn’t kill Jon Snow did you?’ I said, “˜Jon Snow is deader than dead.’ I thought I was going to be sent to Guantanamo or something, but fortunately I’m here – but he’s dead.”
NO NO NO!!!!!
George R.R. Martin, author of A Song Of Ice and Fire book series on which HBO’s Game Of Thrones is based, reportedly skipped the Con this year to concentrate on finishing up the sixth book, The Winds of Winter, which he’s been writing for over three decades now (or so it feels like!!!!!). And only George R.R. Martin can say if Jon Snow is really dead. Only him! ONLY!!!!! And let’s face it, George R.R. Martin kills everyone, so RIP JON SNOW :*(
