When we last saw the brothers Winchester at the end of season 10 of Supernatural, a wave of darkness engulfed them and the Impala, and we don’t know what will become of our brave hunters, Sam and Dean (Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles). They’ve been in apocalyptic situations many times before, but this looks worse, especially after watching the new season 11 promo.
Check out the video below.
In it it seems that Castiel (Misha Collins) has been affected the most, seeming to have completely turned to the dark side, worse than Crowley (Mark A. Sheppard) has ever been. There is torture involved and growing black veins. Sam is turning to God for help, and I really really hope this means a reappearance of Chuck (Rob Benedict), whom at the end of season 5 during “Swan Song,” typed “The End,” on the story of the brothers and then vanished, making us think he was God all along.
Whatever the story turns out to be, it is the bond of the brothers, the bond they share with a chosen few, the humor, and the impossible situations that have made Supernatural last this long. They are not afraid to kill off (then resurrect) any character, or poke fun at themselves. I can’t wait to join them on “The Road So Far.”
Supernatural returns Wednesday, October 7th at 9pm ET on The CW.

The Darkness leaves its mark Wednesday, October 7 on the season 11 premiere of Supernatural!
Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) have spent the last eight years battling the things that go bump in the night. Over the years, and occasionally alongside the fallen angel Castiel (Misha Collins), and the King of Hell, Crowley (Mark A. Sheppard), the Winchesters have straddled the line between good and evil.
