Where we last left our heroines of Kappa in Scream Queens, it was slumber party massacre! The Red Devil broke into Kappa, and left a wake of bodies, notably “Predatory Lez” Sam (Jeanna Han). After chasing Kappa’s new President Zayday (Keke Palmer) and Queen B, Chanel (Emma Roberts) down into the depths of the sorority, the Devil was unable to deliver the final axe blow to either. We know that the brains behind the Devil belong to Gigi (Nasim Pedrad) who happens to be dating good girl Grace’s (Skyler Samuels) dad Wes (Oliver Hudson). All the while there are suspects aplenty. Wes is convinced Dean Munsch (Jamie Lee Curtis) is responsible, while the multiple Chanels all give off suspect vibes, especially complete psycho Hester… Chanel #6 (Lea Michele). Let’s get to tonight’s episode”¦ remember; In Chad Radwell we trust!

Spoilers below.

Chanel and… the Chanels (that sounds like a weird 50s pop chart group) throw Chanel #2 (Ariana Grande) a funeral in the most Chanel way possible. #5 (Abigail Breslin) thinks peace is the answer, and pulls out a Ouija board. “Didn’t you see the movie?” “The movie Ouija? NO! No one did!” Oh how I wish that that was true Chanel. The Ouija scene is freaking hilarious… Chanel #2’s spirit has a message for them… Chad is cheating! Not my Chad… oh wait he’s slept with almost every female in the cast.

Gigi is having trouble playing the innocent best girlfriend ever, and plotting an “overly elaborate year’s old revenge plan.” When Wes asks who she was on the phone with she responds with “family drama.” HMMMMM. Meanwhile Gigi is making nice with Grace. That’s going to be awkward soon enough. Gigi sends Grace away with a good lead, steering her obviously in all other directions. Grace and Pete (Diego Boneta) follow up on former student Feather (Tavi Gevinson), and we hear more evidence of Munsch’s craziness, and all signs are pointing to her. Especially when Feather stole the Dean’s husband, and he ends up headless in their home! So Munsch is arrested and sent to the mental ward.

Chanel goes to confront Chad (Glen Powell), but he shuts down the accusations with the always sound Chad Radwell logic: “Look you just can’t let dead people get to you. Ok, they’re super pissed that they are dead, so they’re coming from a place of anger.” As always, strong, sensible words. Chanel #2’s seance sessions continue and she points out Chanel as the killer, which of course leads the others to the conclusion they must in fact… kill Chanel. I have to say, on Glee, Lea Michele played a great supergeek, but here she plays a tremendous psychopath. She’s got the crazy eyes down!

Ariana Grande returns as the ghost of Chanel #2. Turns out Hell sucks! No dinosaurs! C’mon. In order to get out of hell and get to Heaven she must make peace with Chanel, so she warns of the impending murder attempt. Chanel redirects the Chanels toward the obvious enemies… Zayday and Grace.

Here’s what we know about the characters on Scream Queens… THEY ARE ALL F&%#ING NUTS! From Munsch down, there are plenty of actual murderers and murder suspects to go around. Jamie Lee Curtis stole this episode with her subtle humor, and the Chanels are going to go down with the Heathers as greatest bitch teams in history. This week’s most glaring homage; Silence of the Lambs… next week”¦ let’s just say Jamie Lee Curtis is caught in situation very similar to her mother.

Every moment of this show is enjoyable, and while the Red Devil took the week off, we got needed backstories on certain characters, and promises of great stuff to come. Everyone is after someone and it wouldn’t shock me if literally everyone ended up being a killer at some point, like some wacky version of Clue. I just relish a show that doesn’t take itself too seriously.

Scream Queens returns next Tuesday night at 9:00pm ET on FOX.
