Lots of people watch The Nightmare Before Christmas during the Halloween season, but CineFix chosen the week before Christmas to take on the movie for their “Things You (Probably) Didn’t Know” YouTube series. As one who prefers watching the movie this time of year, I approve of this decision!
The list offers up seven things you might not have known about the movie, covering the path it traveled from the mind of producer Tim Burton to becoming a reality, a major voice cast change, Mickey Mouse cameos, and more.
You can watch 7 Things You (Probably) Didn’t Know About The Nightmare Before Christmas below.
For anyone who might somehow be unfamiliar with the movie, it follows Jack Skellington, the Pumpkin King of Halloween Town, who has grown bored with same routine over and over. After accidentally stumbling upon the much different Christmas Town, filled with happy and cheerful residents, Jack decides to shake things up by taking over Christmas. The movie is directed by Henry Selick, and stars Chris Sarandon, Catherine O’Hara, Danny Elfman, Glenn Shadix, William Hickey, Paul Reubens, Edward Ivory, and Ken Page.
I don’t know about you, ladies and gentlemen, but I really want to watch the movie with that original Santa voice actor now.

What did you think? Did you know any of these facts already? What is your Christmas Movie? What side of the debate are you on – is this a christmas movie or a halloween movie? Did you watch the Nightmare sequels? Who is your favorite character in the Nightmare before Christmas? What is your favorite song? Did you buy the soundtrack in CD form back in the day?!
