Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising

Universal Pictures has released the newest trailer for Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising. Directed by Nicholas Stoller, the follow-up to 2014’s comedy hit stars Seth Rogen and Rose Byrne, who reprise their roles as parental figures who have to deal with yet another university-based social organization.

However, instead of a fraternity, they learn that their new neighbors are a sorority started by Chloë Grace Moretz, Kiersey Clemons, and Beanie Feldstein. So to kick them out of their neighborhood, they enlist the help of an old enemy, Teddy (Zac Efron). And things can only get crazier from there. Check out the latest trailer for Neighbors 2 below.

The trailer reveals that Mac and Kelly are about to move, and are worried that their new partying neighbors will make it that much harder to sell the house. They are also worried that the Kappa Nu will have a negative influence on their daughter.

Adding new characters to a sequel isn’t anything new, and seeing Chloë Moretz in yet another comedy is great. As we all have seen before, she can be funny, especially when she is playing as a completely unhinged character. It’s great to see that there are a few throwbacks to the first film as well.

The film also stars Ike Barinholtz, Carla Gallo, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, and Selena Gomez.

Written by Rogen, Stoller, Evan Goldberg, Andrew Jay Cohen, and Brendan O’Brien, Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising opens in theaters on May 20.

Here’s the official plot synopsis:

Now that Mac (Rogen) and Kelly Radner (Byrne) have a second baby on the way, they are ready to make the final move into adulthood: the suburbs. But just as they thought they’d reclaimed the neighborhood and were safe to sell, they learn that the new occupants next door are a sorority even more out of control than Teddy (Efron) and his brothers ever dreamed of being.

Tired of their school’s sexist, restrictive system, the unorthodox ladies of Kappa Nu have decided to start a house where they can do whatever the hell they want. When Shelby (Moretz) and her sisters, Beth (Kiersey Clemons) and Nora (Beanie Feldstein), find the perfect place just off campus, they won’t let the fact that it’s located on a quiet street stand in their way of parties as epic as the guys throw.

Forced to turn to the one ex-neighbor with the skills to bring down the new Greeks next door, the Radners””alongside best friends Jimmy (Ike Barinholtz) and Paula (Carla Gallo)””bring in charismatic Teddy as their secret weapon. If he can infiltrate the sorority and charm his way through it, the thirtysomethings will shutter the Kappas’ home. But if they think that their neighbors are going down without a fight, they have severely underestimated the power of youthful ingenuity and straight-up crazy.
