Last week on Saturday, January 16th, Adam Driver hosted Saturday Night Live. Driver, formerly of HBO’s Girls is fresh off starring as the villainous Kylo Ren in Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens; ya know, the biggest movie of all time. In a spoof of the CBS hit show Undercover Boss, where CEOs go undercover as ordinary workers in their companies, Driver’s Ren goes undercover aboard Starkiller Base as radar technician Matt. The sketch was one of the best things to appear on SNL recently, and has taken the internet by storm. Now, SNL has released the behind the scenes footage!

The first thing we see is that Adam Driver has trouble keeping a straight face; he’s not Jimmy Fallon out there, but it gets pretty ridiculous. In a hilarious part that didn’t make the final episode, “Matt” walks into the break room and sees a Kylo Ren poster with insulting graffiti like “Cry-Lo Ren” and “DERP!” Suffice to say, his reaction is not calm and collected at all.

Another scene with the crazy talented Leslie Jones as an overbearing boss is expanded, with her berating Matt even more. Matt’s Kylo Ren obsession is called out by a Stormtrooper (Bobby Moynihan), and then we see the special effects magic of Moynihan being tossed through the soda machine via the force multiple times. WHAT THE HELL MATT!!!

I gotta say, Adam Driver as Kylo Ren as Matt, the radar technician, on Undercover Boss on SNL, was almost better than Adam Driver as Kylo Ren on Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens.

Saturday Night Live is on Saturday nights at 11:30pm ET on NBC, and the SNL YouTube channel has 1.8 million subscribers.
