After only a couple of episodes in the bag, USA’s new Carlton Cuse/Ryan Condal effort, Colony, has been renewed for a second season.
I just gotta say… thank goodness and yay!
Colony, which stars Josh Holloway and Sarah Wayne Callies as a husband and wife working on the opposite sides of an occupation (alien we think), has been getting decent ratings, especially because of the 3-day viewer grace period included in the ratings total.
USA Network President Chris McCumber said in a statement to Deadline:
“Carlton and Ryan have successfully delivered a story that tests the strengths and weaknesses of a society in duress, and the bonds of a family divided. Colony’s performance across all platforms has been impressive, and we can’t wait to see where the story takes us.â€
This is definitely a good move on USA’s part. The show is quite interesting, and the mysteries keep me coming back.
OK. Josh Holloway keeps me coming back too. I was so mad when his last show, Intelligence, was canceled.
Colony airs Thursday nights at 10pm ET on USA.
USA’s official synopsis:
From executive producers Carlton Cuse (“Lostâ€) and Ryan Condal (“Herculesâ€) comes USA’s newest, highly-anticipated drama COLONY. Set in the very near future, COLONY centers on one family’s struggle to survive and bring liberty back to the people of an occupied Los Angeles.
