“Mean Tweets” are one of my (and America’s) very favorite bits on Jimmy Kimmel Live. In honor of The 88th Academy Awards airing this Sunday night, the show released a movie star edition last night. They are always fantastic, as you cannot get any funnier or crazier than real life trolling tweets.
Check out the Oscars “Mean Tweets” video below (NSFW).
Here are a couple:
Eddie Redmayne: “Eddie Redmayne looks like someone tried to erase his nose, but couldn’t completely. I also think he looks perpetually dehydrated.”
Zach Galifianakis: I hate when Zach Galifianakis plays serious roles. That’s what Dakota Fanning is for.”
Seth Rogen: Convinced that Seth Rogen is just Dustin Diamond with 150 extra pounds on him.”
Haters also hate on Cate Blanchett, Oscar Isaac (the nerve), Susan Sarandon, Kevin Costner, Kevin Hart, and so much more.
I enjoy the stars’ reactions more than the crazy insults.
The best, best, best one is the last one with Sean Penn. Cannot spoil it for you, but you’re welcome (for sharing – I had nothing to do with the production). So good!
Jimmy Kimmel Live airs weeknights at 11:35pm ET on ABC.
The 88th Academy Awards airs Sunday, February 28th at 7:00pm ET on ABC.

Mean Tweets – Movie Edition
The Oscar ceremony is a magical night on which starving movie stars experience joy and sorrow live for all to see. While awards shows are a place where accolades are lavished upon the talented men and women of film, Twitter is kind of the opposite. For your inconsideration we present a special movie star edition of #MeanTweets featuring Christoph Waltz, Patricia Arquette, George Clooney, Jessica Chastain, Eddie Redmayne, Susan Sarandon, Kevin Costner, Emily Blunt, Zach Galifianakis, Kevin Hart, Richard Dreyfuss, Cate Blanchett, Seth Rogen, Oscar Isaac, Taraji P. Henson and Sean Penn.
That was funny.
