An official trailer was released earlier this month for a documentary titled The Prequels Strike Back: A Fan’s Journey.
The documentary revisits Star Wars creator George Lucas’s critically bombarded prequel trilogy, and follows a fan boldly seeking to answer one big question: are the prequels REALLY as bad as many fans think they are? To answer this—or attempt to—he talks to fans of the franchise and others to collect their present day perspectives on the prequels.

Nearly two decades after the release of Star Wars: Episode I, Star Wars fans still heatedly debate the merits and the shortcomings of the controversial prequel films that brought to the world Jar Jar Binks, Darth Maul, midichlorians, and a purple lightsaber.
Unsure what to make of the films, a Star Wars fan treks across country interviewing dozens in search of answers. Are the prequel films masterpiece or disaster? The Prequels Strike Back: A Fan’s Journey will be released digitally on September 14th, and will be available on Amazon, YouTube, and VHX. There will also eventually be a disc version, which can be pre-ordered right here. If you happen to be in the Austin, TX area, there will be a screening of the movie in early October.
