The second season of the Netflix original series Narcos was released by the streaming giant just a few days ago on September 2nd. And those few days have been more than enough time for Netflix to decide the future of the show.
Not only has Netflix ordered a season three of the series, but they’ve also doubled down with an order for season four as well. In addition to the two-season renewal, a season three announcement trailer has also been released.
You can see the trailer below.
This raw, gritty series chronicles the gripping real-life stories of the drug kingpins of the late 1980s and the corroborative efforts of law enforcement to meet them head on in brutal, bloody conflict. It details the many, often-conflicting forces – legal, political, police, military and civilian – that clash in the effort to control cocaine, one of the world’s most valuable commodities.
Narcos season three is currently planned for a release sometime in 2017, with season four likely coming sometime in 2018.
