Both will also include a short film that’s never been released in North America.

You can find all the info on the screenings below.

Fathom Events and GKIDS are excited to bring the classic Japanese anime fantasy film, Spirited Away, back to cinemas nationwide for a special 15th Anniversary celebration on Sunday, December 4 (English Dubbed) and Monday, December 5 (English Subtitles) only.

Chihiro thinks she is on another boring trip with her parents. But when they stop at a village that is not all that it seems, her parents undergo a mysterious transformation, and Chihiro is whisked into a world of fantastic spirits, shape-shifting dragons and a witch who never wants to see her leave. She must call on the courage she never knew she had to free herself and return her family to the outside world.

Don’t miss director Hayao Miyazaki’s Academy Award®-winning animated film that became a worldwide phenomenon and further cemented Studio Ghibli’s legacy as one of the foremost animation studios in the world, presented by GKIDS, Studio Ghibli, Hot Topic and Fathom Events!

Miyazaki’s other titles include Castle in the Sky, My Friend Totoro, Princess Mononoke, Howl’s Moving Castle, Ponyo, and more.

He retired from feature filmmaking back in 2013 after finishing The Wind Rises. But that wasn’t the first time he said he was retiring, and just recently it was revealed that he was coming out of retirement for one more movie titled Boro the Caterpillar (Kemushi no Boro).
