As part of their TCM Big Screen Classics series, the special 2-day event, will give modern audiences a chance to see the breakout role of Debbie Reynolds, who passed away just weeks ago. TCM host Ben Mankiewicz will provide special commentary before and after the presentation. The film is ranked 5th on the American Film Institute’s 100 Years, 100 Movies list as of 2007. Co-Directed by Stanley Donen and Gene Kelly, the musical comedy stars Kelly, Reynolds, Donald O’Connor, Jean Hagen, Cyd Charisse, and Rita Moreno.

WHAT: To kick off the yearlong TCM Big Screen Classics series, Singin’ in the Rain is back on the big screen for two days only – giving audiences a chance to see Debbie Reynolds in her breakout role.

Debbie Reynolds, Gene Kelly, Donald O’Connor, Jean Hagen, Cyd Charisse, and Rita Moreno star in the unforgettable musical comedy, directed by Kelly and Stanley Donen. Celebrating its 65th anniversary in 2017, but still as fresh and delightful as the day it was released, Singin’ in the Rain is a movie that’s even more dazzling and grin-inducing than ever. Moviegoers will also experience specially-produced commentary from Turner Classic Movies (TCM) host Ben Mankiewicz before and after the feature.
