Marvel has also released a new TV spot for their upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 that features a song from none other than David Bowie.
Check out the new 30-second TV spot here below.
The TV spot, titled “You’re Welcome,” aired during the live broadcast of the Grammys on Sunday night. It seems fitting this would appear on music’s biggest night considering the film sequel is an amalgamation of comic book movies and mixtape music, and music was such a big part of the first film.
The first trailer for the sequel featured Sweet’s “Fox on the Run,” while the recent Super Bowl LI TV spot had Fleetwood Mac’s “The Chain.” Now the Grammy Awards TV Spot contains David Bowie’s “Suffragette City” from the album The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars. (The GoTG Vol. 1 soundtrack included David Bowie’s “Moonage Daydream,” which was also heard in the film.)
Don’t expect to see any new footage from this video, maybe just some different cuts considering Drax (Dave Bautista) has a different reaction to Mantis (Pom Klementieff) getting hit by a meteor. But it’s still worth a watch, because Vol. 2 promises to be an entertaining film, just like its predecessor.
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 opens in theaters on May 5, 2017.
