The rumors are very true, there is a teaser attached to the front of Logan (check out our review here), Fox’s new Wolverine film. Of course, since it is an X-Men movie the teaser has to be related to the X-Men universe. Assuming that you haven’t seen Logan yet, the teaser (it’s really more of a short) is for Deadpool 2. So, to avoid spoilers, this is your only warning, check out the video here below.
The short was leaked online last night soon after Logan debuted in theaters, so it’s not surprising that it would now be available legitimately. Also, the video, which comes via Deadpool star Ryan Reynolds’ YouTube page, is actually longer than what we saw ahead of Logan. Note – this played with an R-rated movie and there is cursing, so be warned (NSFW).
The Deadpool 2 short sees Ryan Reynolds reprising his role as Deadpool and opens with a shot of a run-down city that’s full of burning garbage bins, newspapers ruffling-mid air, and crime. Then we see a man in a hoodie listening to the late George Michael’s “Feel The Pain” as the camera moves to reveal who it is, the man takes off his ear buds, lowers his hoodie, and it’s Deadpool, who still looks like a testicle with teeth. During all of this, a crime starts to occur, and Wade immediately jumps into a phone booth to put on his super suit. This may take a while, so I won’t get into the very graphic details, but let’s just say it is something we’d expect to see from Wade. Also I will say since this is very meta, you will notice a Logan title on the marquee in the background along with a Nathan Summers name written onto the phone booth.
