Last time on Colony, the Green Zone was attacked, orchestrated by Karen (Laura Innes) and the Red Hand, and Bram (Alex Neustaedter) was in the middle of it all. “Lost Boy” took different character points of view from different settings and times, in a uniquely filmed episode. Will (Josh Holloway) tried to convince Bram that to leave was necessary. Karen delivered a manifesto and everyone drank martyr juice. Maddie (Amanda Righetti) covered for Bram. Snyder (Peter Jacobson) looked for more intel on Nolan and the Proxy (Adrian Pasdar, Tony Plana) for Helena (Ally Walker). Bram killed for the cause.
Spoilers below.
Colony 2.12 “Seppuku” review: We open to Broussard’s background. Something bad went down and he had to pretend ignorance, and felt bad about it.
Nolan promises the proxy that he will get rid of Maddie. He is pissed. They talk about how bad Helena is. Maddie has to send her son away for safety. Still think you picked the right side, Maddie?
Nolan lets the redhats take Maddie away in her nightie. After sex! He is the worst kind of man. Snyder tells Helena about Nolan’s position. He visits Maddie and promises to help her if she helps him. He also crushes her “Greatest Day” dreams. Come on, Maddie! That was obvious.
Snyder visits Bennett about the security failure. “Do you want to go down with the ship?” He tells him of the downloaded file.
They need to make contact with the Red Hand. Bram lies to them, but then tells the truth when he is called out on it. Will goes to make contact. They capture and release. They want to make contact. They meet with Karen. She’s an extremist on one side versus Broussard, the extremist on the other. He wants to wipe the Red Hand out. They track the gauntlet. Broussard wants to hit them hard and fast.
Katie talks to Bram about their mission tonight. Don’t betray them Bram, please!
The trio hits the hideout, and gets the gauntlet, but Broussard stays behind as a sacrifice to Will. Good thing he is on the weird “no vaporization” list that Will was also on.
Although grateful, Snyder is puzzled as to why Broussard would attack the Red Hand. Snyder gets the info from Nolan, and he is soon dragged away. Helena tells Alcala he will be proxy in name only.
Helena gets a call – the Los Angeles bloc is scheduled for “total rendition.” In other words… everyone dies (we think). We still don’t know why the bodies are taken to space. Is it food? New meat suits? What?
So exciting! I really cannot tell who is the good guy anymore (except Will). There are so many moving factions and beliefs, even if some of those beliefs are just survival (the one I’d pick). Bram is going to be so mad at his parents once he finds out he killed his new bestie.
The season finale of Colony airs next Thursday night at 10pm ET on USA.
