Outlander Season 3 Starz

“We’re gonna be all right. I promise,” says Frank Randall (Tobias Menzies) softly to Claire (Caitriona Balfe), as they both look at their new baby girl with love.

Starz’s newest trailer gives Outlander fans another satisfying dose of tease. This trailer shows us a fast forward glimpse of life for Claire after she left her soul mate Jamie (Sam Heughan) back in the past.

Check out the trailer below.

Season 3 is based on Diana Gabaldon’s 3rd book of the series, Voyager, and chronicles Claire’s life with Frank and Brianna (Sophie Skelton), as well as her eventual reunion with Jamie. I may faint during that scene.

What I really love about the trailer is the prospect of Menzies once again showing us his acting prowess, as the vulnerable, yet strong Frank Randall. I could watch Menzies in a toothpaste commercial and be wowed.

Outlander is set to take over San Diego Comic-Con this weekend! You can catch author Diana Gabaldon, Executive Producers Ronald D. Moore and Maril Davis, and cast members Balfe, Heughan, Menzies, Skelton, and Richard Rankin (Roger Wakefield) at their panel on Friday, July 21st at 5pm PST in Ballroom 20.

Outlander returns Sunday, September 10th on Starz.

Season 3 synopsis:

The third season of “Outlander” picks up right after Claire (Caitriona Balfe) travels through the stones to return to her life in 1948. Now pregnant with Jamie’s (Sam Heughan) child, she struggles with the fallout of her sudden reappearance and its effect on her marriage to her first husband, Frank (Tobias Menzies). Meanwhile, in the 18th century, Jamie suffers from the aftermath of his doomed last stand at the historic battle of Culloden, as well as the loss of Claire. As the years pass, Jamie and Claire attempt to make a life apart from one another, each haunted by the memory of their lost love. The budding possibility that Claire can return to Jamie in the past breathes new hope into Claire’s heart”¦ as well as new doubt. Separated by continents and centuries, Claire and Jamie must find their way back to each other. As always, adversity, mystery, and adventure await them on the path to reunion. And the question remains: When they find each other, will they be the same people who parted at the standing stones, all those years ago?
