| Indie Co-Op Title ‘A Way Out’ Will Only Require One Person To Buy Game
During the EA Play showcase during E3 2017 week this past summer, we were introduced to A Way Out, a new co-op game from the makers of the incredible indie title Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons—a game I was actually pretty shocked to discover didn’t have a co-op option, but is still great. Personally, the best case scenario for me would be if both of these games had the option to play alone or with a friend. But that’s just me. During the recent Game Awards 2017, a new video for the game was released introducing the two main characters. But much more importantly than that, it has been revealed that in order for people to play this two-player co-op game, only one of the two people playing will actually have to purchase it. A very cool thing for those behind the game to do. Continue below for additional info on A Way Out, the recently released video, and more.

| Trailer For ‘Payday’ Developer Overkill’s ‘The Walking Dead’ Video Game Released
Way back in the year 2014, we found out that another video game set in Robert Kirkman‘s The Walking Dead universe was being made by Payday developer Overkill Software. At the time, we had a lengthy wait ahead of us to the game’s planned 2016 release. As you may have guessed by now, that wait ended up being just a teeny bit longer. The game is now set for a 2018 release. But while we still have some waiting to do, a new trailer has been released. The game is, like Payday, a four-player co-op game. In it, you and your friends will be able to team up to see how you deal with both the living and the dead during the zombie apocalypse. This new trailer introduces us to the first playable character, Aidan. You can check it out and read more about the game below.

Star Wars films have made more than an impact in film and pop culture, they have also paved the way for major revolutions. These films have opened the doors for young girls to accept their roles as heroes, or in this case Jedi. They don’t have to play the role of the damsel in distress, now they can be fearless warriors fighting the good fight. And we will see more of that now that there are a lot more powerful female characters in Star Wars: The Last Jedi. Whether it is Rey (Daisy Ridley) training to become a Jedi, General Leia (Carrie Fisher) and Admiral Holdo (Laura Dern) overseeing military strategies for the Resistance, or Rose Tico (Kelly Marie Tran) infiltrating the First Order, young girls have a lot more characters to look up to. Geeks of Doom was invited to sit down with their fellow journalists to talk about the incredible changes that have been happening in the past few years and how having more female characters have given their young female fans someone to cheer for and quite possibly be inspired by. Check out what they had to say below.
