It’s hard to believe that 10 years ago, Iron Man kicked off a large shared superhero movie universe in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Marvel Studios has released 17 films, with an 18th hitting theaters next week. And to commemorate the large event, they are bringing all the heroes together for Avengers: Infinity War. The film will feature over 80 actors, reprising their heroic roles in a bout with Thanos. And just before the ensemble events of the century hits theaters this summer, Marvel Studios has brought the gang together for one unforgettable photo.
Below you can find a photo of every Marvel superhero that has appeared in the MCU.
The cast and crew of nearly all the MCU gathered together in Atlanta for this one-of-a-kind event. The list of actors who appeared include Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Scarlett Johansson, Paul Rudd, Benedict Cumberbatch, Chris Pratt, Chadwick Boseman, Brie Larson, Jeremy Renner, Tom Holland, Sean Gunn, Hannah John-Kamen, Zoe Saldana, Angela Bassett, Jon Favreau, Gwyneth Paltrow, Kurt Russell, Danai Gurira, William Hurt, Karen Gillan, Emily VanCamp, Tessa Thompson, Don Cheadle, Dave Bautista, Michael Peña, Anthony Mackie, Evangeline Lilly, Elizabeth Olsen, Paul Bettany, Frank Grillo, Letitia Wright, Laurence Fishburne, Linda Cardellini, Sebastian Stan, Ty Simpkins, Michael Douglas, Michelle Pfeiffer, Hayley Atwell, Pom Klementieff, Benedict Wong, Michael Rooker, Vin Diesel, Cobie Smulders, Samuel L. Jackson, and Jeff Goldblum.
Meanwhile, the directors and producers also came together to take part in this photoshoot. They include: Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Stan Lee, Scott Derrickson, Trinh Tran, Alan Taylor, Brad Winderbaum, Louis Letterier, Jon Watts, Sarah Finn, James Gunn, Joe Russo, Anthony Russo, Joss Whedon, David Grant, Mitchell Bell, Anna Boden, Ryan Fleck, Jeffrey Ford, Peyton Reed, Jonathan Schwartz, Stephen Broussard, Ryan Coogler, Jeremy Latcham, Nate Moore, Christopher Markus, Stephen McFeely, Taika Waititi, Erik Carroll, Ryan Meinerding, and Craig Kyle.
Now if you looked at the list of names and scanned the entire photo, carefully, you may have noticed a few new actors. Brie Larson, Laurence Fishburne, and Michelle Pfeiffer are just a few actors who are joining the class. Larson will appear as Captain Marvel in the movie of the same name next year. Fishburne and Pfeiffer join the cast of Ant-Man and the Wasp, which arrives in theaters later this year. Captain Marvel directors Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck also make an appearance.
The massive event really left an impression on the actors. “It felt like being at the Academy Awards or something,” Hemsworth says. “Every person had been in one or all of my favorite films.”
“There was a like a sea of people who I’ve grown up watching in one place hanging out,” says Spider-Man: Homecoming‘s Tom Holland. Guardians of the Galaxy‘s Chris Pratt compared the entire experience joining a sport’s team who has a rich history of winning championships.
So it’s hard not to fanboy or fangirl out because the MCU is so expansive. It wasn’t easy for Don Cheadle who plays War Machine. Some people, like Black Panther‘s Chadwick Boseman, cannot believe that he is a part of this. Others, like Robert Downey Jr., say that any one of the actors behind him could be front in center of the photo. Of course, he got to be there because his film literally started it all.
