Apparently, I have missed some amazing comics lately. Ether: The Copper Golems #1 is the first issue of the second series. That’s right, second series. So guess who gets to go shopping for some back issues? That’s right, this guy. But before I do, let me tell you a little about this comic gem.
Boone Dias has sacrificed much for his job. In fact, he has given up more than anyone should. But it seems his job is less normal employment and more addiction. He travels the Ether, sometimes as an agent and other times a bit less structured. But consistently, his travels strengthen his abilities and protect our world from invasion, destruction, what have you. In fact, no one else knows as much or can affect as much as Boone, whether he likes it or not.
So when rips in the fabric between the planes occurs, it is only logical that the agency turn to him to fix the problems. His family has long given up on having him in their lives, since time moves at a different pace there. Will he be able to save the day or will he become yet another casualty in the growing breach? This issue sets up the story and leaves the reader hungry for more! I cannot recommend this enough; you will have to see it to believe it!
From New York Times bestselling Mind MGMT creator Matt Kindt and Black Hammer’s David RubÃn comes this fantasy adventure about a science-minded hero intent on keeping the balance between Earth and a magic world!
Portals between Earth and the Ether begin to crack open unleashing devastating magical fury on our planet and only adventurer Boone Dias can seal the breaches. In order to put an end to this chaos, Boone recruits a powerful team of mystical beings including a grumpy, spell-writing fairy; a bickering, lavender gorilla; and a bull-headed, motorcycling spell-hacker. These heroes set off on a journey taking the reader through the center of volcanoes, deserts full of living mummies and sphinxes, and a bizarre fairy forest in an effort to save both worlds from complete destruction!
