Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson has faced off against some of the craziest things in his films. Submarines, earthquakes, Vin Diesel, giant flying wolves, a jungle, and sports. But scaling a burning skyscraper. Well, that’s something new.

Universal has released the second trailer for Skyscraper, where the actor plays Will Sawyer, a skyscraper security advisor. When he is assigned to a detail in China, a group of terrorists infiltrate the building, framing him for the job and holding his family hostage. So it is up Will to rescue his family and clear his name, all the while the building is ablaze. Check out the latest trailer below.

Skyscraper is pretty much in Johnson’s wheelhouse. Playing a likeable guy who is thrust into a very unusual circumstance. And that has worked out well for him so far. These films are never short on intense action sequences and are almost always fun. So that’s not to say that these are dull or cookie cut. But if you are looking to get away from the sequels and superheroes, then this one might be just your thing.

And let’s not get into the semantics of how he got framed. It’s how Will goes about rescuing his family that will definitely have people hooked. But it looks like the film will deliver the goods.

Here’s the official premise.

Global icon Dwayne Johnson leads the cast of Legendary’s Skyscraper as former FBI Hostage Rescue Team leader and U.S. war veteran Will Sawyer, who now assesses security for skyscrapers. On assignment in China he finds the tallest, safest building in the world suddenly ablaze, and he’s been framed for it. A wanted man on the run, Will must find those responsible, clear his name and somehow rescue his family who is trapped inside the building…above the fire line.

Directed by Rawson Marshall Thurber (Dodgeball, We’re the Millers), the film also stars Neve Campbell, Chin Han, Roland Møller, Pablo Schreiber, Byron Mann, Hannah Quinlivan, and Noah Taylor.

Skyscraper opens in theaters on July 13, 2018.
