If you are jonesing for a superhero fix a month before New York Comic-Con, have no fear, Heroes and Villains FanFest (HVFF) is returning to the Tri-State area next month. On September 8th and 9th, stars of some of your favorite comic book-inspired films and shows will pack the New Jersey Convention and Expo Center in Edison, NJ. You’ll get your chance to grab photo ops, get autographs, attend panel discussions and Q&As, and of course buy all the merch you can get your hands on. For those intimidated by the huge crowds of Comic-Con but with the same passion for geek culture, Heroes and Villains FanFest is definitely one you don’t want to miss.
DC fans will have a real reason to celebrate as Ray Fisher, aka Cyborg from Justice League, will be appearing along with several members of the CW’s Arrow-verse and FOX’s Gotham. One highlight will be the Firestorm gathering as all three actors who’ve played the character on The Flash and Legends of Tomorrow will be there. Victor Garber (Dr. Stein), Franz Drameh (Jefferson), and Robbie Amell (Ronnie) will be taking group photo ops as well. Iris West-Allen herself will be there as Candice Patton joins HVFF as well as other kickass females Katie Cassidy (Laurel on Arrow), Juliana Harkavy (Dinah on Arrow) and Erin Richards (Barbara on Gotham). Also appearing will be Superman himself, Tyler Hoechlin (Supergirl) who also starred in MTV’s Teen Wolf.
