20th Century Fox has dropped its last trailer for Shane Black‘s The Predator. And if this trailer is any indication of how good the film is going to be, then we are in for one fantastic ’80s actioner throwback. The film has got everything, including Emmy Award-winning Sterling K. Brown delivering Shane Black quips to bloody alien action. Check out the new trailer here below.
The reboot looks to be very entertaining, which is something you want from a film about an alien who hunts for sport. It is going back to the old-fashioned ’80s fun that the first film had and straying away from the dark and gloomy tone successors had. Add Shane Black’s writing and it makes the film even more entertaining. Watching Brown say Black’s lines will probably be the one thing I look forward to in this film. Then, of course, there’s the action, which looks really good.
Don’t forget to check out some of the previous trailers for The Predator.
The film stars Boyd Holbrook as the soldier who leads a group of PTSD soldiers in a battle against Predator in a small suburban town. It also stars Trevante Rhodes, Jacob Tremblay, Keegan-Michael Key, Olivia Munn, Sterling K. Brown, Alfie Allen, Thomas Jane, Augusto Aguilera, Jake Busey, and Yvonne Strahovski.
Here is the official synopsis for The Predator:
From the outer reaches of space to the small-town streets of suburbia, the hunt comes home in Shane Black’s explosive reinvention of the Predator series. Now, the universe’s most lethal hunters are stronger, smarter and deadlier than ever before, having genetically upgraded themselves with DNA from other species. When a young boy accidentally triggers their return to Earth, only a ragtag crew of ex-soldiers and a disgruntled science teacher can prevent the end of the human race.
The Predator opens in theaters on September 14, 2018.
