A trailer for an upcoming game currently going by the title Project Awakening was released recently for PlayStation’s LineUp Tour.

The game comes from Japanese developer Cygames, who’s best known for developing mobile games. Not much information on the game has been shared yet, but we know that it’s a fantasy action RPG.

The game looks to have drawn some inspiration from titles like Monster Hunter, Dark Souls, The Witcher, Shadow of the Colossus, etc.

It may have even drawn a little bit of inspiration from Scalebound—a promising looking Microsoft exclusive that was ultimately canceled, sadly. If this is true it would be pretty interesting as Scalebound was being developed by PlatinumGames, who is currently co-developing a game with Cygames titled Granblue Fantasy Project Re:Link for PlayStation 4 which is set in the same universe as Cygames’ own mobile game Granblue Fantasy.

No release window for Project Awakening has been set yet.
