Let the hype building begin! The first teaser trailer for game publisher Activision’s Call of Duty: Modern Warefare 3 has been released. The new game will be set in the United States, and the trailer specifically teases New York City. I for one can’t wait to shoot at things while running through New York. Sure there have been other games set in New York, but not to the caliber of the Call of Duty series.
The game is being touted as a straight sequel to Modern Warfare 2, so we should see a return of some familiar characters. No firm release date has yet been announced, but I expect to see the game in time for the holidays. I would also expect an announced street date at this year’s E3, which I’m sure MW3 will have a big showing. Modern Warfare 3 will be released on Xbox 360, PlayStation3, and PC. Hopefully online play will be back for the PlayStation3 by the time it comes out.

Game developer Ubisoft finally announced something we all knew was coming: a new Assassin’s Creed game, which will be titled Assassin’s Creed: Revelations. It wasn’t until just now that I realized how convoluted the story line to this game really is. Again you will be Ezio, in the old memories of Desmond. In these genetic dreams, Ezio will do the things that Altair did, forget it, here is the description from the press release. In Assassin’s Creed: Revelations, master assassin Ezio Auditore walks in the footsteps of his legendary mentor, Altaïr, on a journey of discovery and revelation. It is a perilous path – one that will take Ezio to Constantinople, the heart of the Ottoman Empire, where a growing army of Templars threatens to destabilize the region.

| Watch Now: ‘Arkham City’ Game Play Trailer |

The first trailer to feature game play from the upcoming sequel to Arkham Asylum, Arkham City, was recently released. It’s posted below so you can take a peek for yourself. The game play looks very similar to the first game, but way more open. It almost looks as if they took the wide open space that was between the sections of Arkham Asylum and made the game to be like that section, which is fine by me as that was my favorite section in which to play. You get to see Two Face in the trailer, as well as Harley and Cat Woman. It appears that you have to team up with Cat Woman, at least for a bit, as it shows in the trailer Batman saving her from a sniper’s bullet. It also seems that “detective mode” is returning to the game. I just hope they found a way to balance it a bit better so you don’t spend the whole game in that mode so you can see heartbeats.
