Walking Dead Season 4 Banner

Season 4 of The Walking Dead is in full swing at the moment and things have not been going well for our ever-dwindling band of survivors. While the television show has been straying further and further from the storyline of its comic book roots for a while now, things have taken an interesting turn in the last few episodes. First, we got a quick glimpse of the return of one of most powerful characters on the show, followed by a show completely dedicated to them.

Now, a singular photo from a batch of preview images for this Sunday’s episode, titled “Dead Weight,” could hint at the show returning to one of the more unforgettable moments from the comic book universe.

SPOILERS ahead after the jump for both the show and comic book, so please proceed with caution.

Oldboy Poster Header Image

The long-awaited reinterpretation of Oldboy by Spike Lee, if only to find out just how faithful he’s going to be to the source material, comes out next week and in anticipation the film is getting one more new poster to help drum up interest. The poster revels in an explosion of violence that we should expect from the Oldboy via the protagonist’s weapon of choice, along with the tagline “Find the Truth and Make It Hurt” which overtly suggests we’re in for some brutal carnage.

Along with this poster, Spike Lee revealed a minor non-plot spoiler for his film during an interview with the New York Times revolving around the original film’s signature hallway fight sequence.

Check out the full poster here below and what Lee has to say about his film.

batman-vs-superman-2015

Almost immediately after it was revealed at the San Diego Comic-Con earlier this year that the sequel to Man of Steel would feature Batman, it was unofficially dubbed Batman vs Superman based on some key dialogue read from the graphic novel The Dark Knight Returns which featured Batman and Superman in an epic battle. The film has yet to receive an official title from Warner Bros; however, a recent slate of website domain registrations by Warner Bros may point to a possible official title.

Check out the full list of possibilities after the jump!

Ryan Midnight   |

Li Bing-BingEarlier this month, I spoke with The Forbidden Kingdom screenwriter John Fusco and his influences that helped forge the script. Now, I am lucky enough to speak with one of the film’s co-stars, Li Bing-Bing, who makes her Hollywood debut playing Ni Chang, better known as The Bride With White Hair.

Geeks Of Doom: Thank you for taking some time today to answer some questions about your current film, The Forbidden Kingdom which is your first English language film, after ten years of acting in Hong Kong cinema. Did you have any trouble adapting to an American production work schedule?

Li Bing-Bing: I was very lucky to be part of The Forbidden Kingdom. The Forbidden Kingdom has a fantastic filmmaking team with director Rob Minkoff, cinematographer Peter Pau, martial arts choreographer Yuen Woo-Ping, and Jet Li and Jackie as world class martial artists and teachers. Everyone was very professional. The Forbidden Kingdom cast and crew also had a great team spirit attitude — they had high expectation for all cast members, no matter that their backgrounds maybe. Everyone had the same treatment and everyone was thoughtful as well. I quickly became accustomed to the U.S. filmmaking culture and learned a lot from the experience.
