| AC/DC Guitarist and Co-Founder Malcolm Young Has Died
AC/DC guitarist Malcolm Young, who with his brother Angus Young co-founded the legendary hard rock band, has died, according to a statement released by the band on their official Facebook page. He was 64. The statement did not reveal a cause of death, but the musician had been suffering from dementia, which had officially forced his retirement from the band in 2014. After his departure, his nephew Stevie Young took his place in the group.

| Tom Petty Has Died; Music Legend Confirmed Dead After Earlier Conflicting Reports
Tom Petty, the American musician who had an assembly line of rock and roll hits and successes that made him and his band The Heartbreakers a mainstay for over four decades, died Monday after suffering cardiac arrest at his Malibu home. He was 66. The news was reported earlier in the day, but then the LAPD issued a statement that they could not confirm Petty’s death. Now, official confirmation has been given.

Blu-ray Release (via Mvd Visual): October 13, 2017 A new documentary on Mick Ronson, the late guitar player who was one of the key figures in the early success of David Bowie when he became a superstar in the early 1970s, has been recently released called Beside Bowie: The Mick Ronson Story. The film, which includes voiceover by Bowie (who passed away in early 2016), attempts to give more of a spotlight to a man who in essence lived in Bowie’s shadow, something which unfortunately also happens here in this documentary, whether it was intentional or not in its presentment.
