| First Look At ‘Star Wars Forces Of Destiny’ Featuring Daisy Ridley, Felicity Jones, More (Video)
Disney and Lucasfilm have announced Star Wars Forces of Destiny, a series of animated shorts following some of the iconic characters of the franchise. The actors who have portrayed some of the characters will be lending their voices to the new shorts as well, including Daisy Ridley (Rey), Felicity Jones (Jyn Erso), Tiya Sircar (Sabine Wren), and Ashley Eckstein (Ahsoka Tano), with Lupita Nyong’o (Maz Kanata) narrating the series. | Wait, What? ‘Rick and Morty’ Season 3 Premieres On April Fools’ Day, No One Believes It
April Fools’ Day ended here on the east coast a couple of hours ago, but not before one brilliant final trick was pulled off. We’ve been wondering for a long time now when Rick and Morty season three would finally premiere, and now we have an answer: it already premiered. No announcement, no promos, not even a listing on your TV guides (so if you have it set to record only new episodes automatically, you missed out). Nothing at all, but a quick “Hey, there’s a new episode on right now!” via the Twitter. And many missed it because they didn’t believe it was true, including myself. But there’s still a way!

A Pixar feature wouldn’t be the same without a short attached to it. These shorts are innovative and beautiful stories from Pixar artists but are not a part of the animation studio’s brain trust. Often times these shorts are proving ground for new technologies that pave the way for upcoming features. These theatrical shorts are fun to watch nonetheless as they have the same charm and allure as any full-length Pixar flick, but just in fun size. But it is a little bit different for Dante’s Lunch, a short used as an animation test for Coco which comes to us from Coco and Toy Story 3 director Lee Unkrich. The crime-infested sprawl that is Old Detroit will be bulldozed and rebuilt as Delta City, a city center independent of the United States government.

| Toho’s ‘Godzilla’ Anime Is Coming To Netflix
Netflix has announced that an upcoming Japanese animated Godzilla movie is on its way to the streaming service. The anime comes from Toho, the creator of the franchise who has released 30 of the 32 total movies including this one and last year’s hit Godzilla Resurgence (or Shin Godzilla), in collaboration with Polygon Pictures. The plan is to release the film on Netflix globally after an initial theatrical run in Japan.
