Get your cosplay ready and arm yourself for the zombie apocalypse, because Walker Stalker is invading the New Jersey Convention and Expo Center this weekend. The fan convention, which started back in 2012, serves as a traveling celebration to AMC’s hit series The Walking Dead as well as all things genre. Walker Stalker welcomes over 30 celebrity guests, features panels and Q&As with the stars on their Main Stage, a cosplay contest, and all the merchandise you need for the holiday season. If you’re in the tri-state area and need a Comic Con fix, then head over to Edison, NJ for Walker Stalker.

This past weekend, the New Jersey Expo Center in Edison, NJ hosted Walker Stalker Con. The convention featured stars of AMC’s hit show The Walking Dead as well as several other guests. The ferocious fans, many dressed as zombies (cough… walkers) were given an opportunity to meet, greet, get autographs from, take selfies with, and coolest of all, chat with their favorite actors. The weekend of the 2nd/3rd we were at Heroes and Villains Fan Fest in Secaucus, and one thing that was obvious at both cons, sometimes smaller is better!

Not often would I call a weekend surrounded by the living dead a ton of fun, but that was Walker Stalker Con in Edison New Jersey. Featuring the stars of AMC’s hit The Walking Dead, as well as some other special guests, Walker Stalker Con brought cast members old and new, alive and dead… together. While Norman Reedus (Daryl Dixon) and Chandler Riggs (Carl Grimes) were the major attractions, many of the show’s biggest supporting stars were there as well, including Hershel (Scott Wilson), Andrea (Laurie Holden) and Dale (Jeffrey DeMunn). When my wife and I met with DeMunn for a photo opportunity I had a chance to speak with the actor briefly.

This weekend kicked off another fan convention, Walker Stalker Con, in Edison, NJ. As with last week’s Heroes and Villains Fan Fest, this had a main show focus (The Walking Dead – last week was Arrow, with a few others sprinkled in). At this one, my main sprinkle was Max Thieriot, who plays Dylan Massett on Bates Motel.
